Hi, I’m Rachel!
After calling nine psychologists over the course of five months, and hearing nothing back, I had to come up with a new plan to begin to understand my Generalized Anxiety Disorder diagnosis. I turned to the internet hoping to find comfort in the journeys of others, strategies in mindfulness, and answers to my mental health questions. Looking far and wide, I found it near impossible to find all this information in one easy-to-digest place.
Enter Progress Over Perfection.
As a writer with a Psychology degree, I was able to combine my two passions with the goal of reaching you! I created this site in the hopes of providing others (and myself too!) with a cohesive toolkit to meaningfully self-advocate for our mental wellbeing. The content is developed through interviews with experts in the field as well as the newest data and research on mental health. Everything from what to read, eat, practice, know and buy to begin to work towards bettering ourselves. The key, I’ve found, is to strive for progress in life rather than focus on perfection. We got this!
